"The 2006 release is the second from the vineyard. It has a lot of the characters of classic Australian Riesling, crisp and dry and distinctive in style. Lemon & citrus tones are prevalent, which seems to be very much a Strathbogie Ranges character. A lot of experience with the Mount Helen Vineyard has taught me that Rieslings from this area are best picked at around 11-11.5 Be (around 11.5-12% Alc). With moderate cropping levels the grapes reliably ripen at this level, maintaining a very well balanced acidity and pH."
