Hanging Rock Heathcote Shiraz 2000 - Wine Wise Magazine
John Ellis first brought Heathcote to our attention with the magnificent 1987 Hanging Rock Heathcote Shiraz, followed by a succession of wines that convinced us that his belief in the area was well justified. . . . . . Vintage 2000 - The peppery spicy hints on the nose catch one's attention immediately, and provide an excellent enhancement to the dark berry fruit. Firm, fine tanins frame the intense, long finishing fruit on the palate which also shows quite prominent oak. This stylish shiraz really needs time, and is a ten year wine if ever I've tasted one. Highly Recommended.
