Your suite includes a sitting area, ideal for reading, writing or relaxing at. If you crave a leisurely morning in bed, then our king -size beds are sure to be to your liking.

Light and airy, your suite invites the outdoors in, through double glass doors, which lead onto your private balcony. Enjoy the tranquil bush setting and expansive views of the Macedon Ranges.

Firesides

Firesides are said to be therapeutic; and we can't argue with that. The soothing crackle of the flames and the radiating warmth make for some relaxed conversation or quiet contemplation.

You're bound to find a cosy corner in the spacious lounge where you can indulge your mood of the moment; the lounge features (apart from the fire); stereo sound equipment, television, video, radio, a selection of books, magazines and games.

And there's a generous supply of firewood, so no unexpected exercise need occur.

Relaxing

Relaxing with a good drink is always an enjoyable way to spend time: one thing that the Retreat will never be short of is good things to drink; discretely placed in the kitchen is a rack containing a selection of fine Hanging Rock wines.

And if that's not enough, well the cellar door is just a couple of minutes' walk around the lake.

Wash away your cares

Wash away your cares, as the saying goes. Well, at the end of a hard day's relaxing you can freshen up in your private en-suite bathroom.

Everything needed for the most fastidious grooming regime is here and there's room to move, particularly in the shower. Luxurious bathrobes are also provided for your comfort.

Food, glorious food

At Hanging Rock we've taken the minimalist approach to food.
That is, as far as any effort is concerned.

We provide a fully provisioned breakfast larder for your enjoyment, including fresh juice, fruit, croissants, breads, our own (well our hens') fresh laid eggs, smoked local bacon, homemade jams and preserves, premium tea and coffee.
