Tasting Note: German-style rieslings with some residual sugar are becoming all the rage! And why not? They make great aperitivs, drink well on their own and suit light, and particularly spicy, foods. For success in this style the fruit source needs to be cool and the Jim Jim vineyard is perfect. Riesling struggles to get the ripeness for balanced dry wines and the sweeter style helps counter the acidity. And the flavours are ripe, combining tropical fruits, spice and fine minerality, with zesty acidity. The low alcohol is balanced by the speed that the glass disappeared ... ooops!
