The grapes for this wine come from the Tarzali vineyard in the Strathbogie Ranges. This vineyard is owned by John & Ann’s cousins, David & Pauline Ross.
Sangiovese is traditionally a Northern Italian grape variety. The name literally translates to ‘Blood of Jove’ and is believed to be one of the earliest cultivated grape varieties. The variety is known for being full flavoured with high tannin and high acidity.
This wine is designed to be a great food wine. Because of its full flavoured nature we recommend to have with robust food dishes.
