Art in the vines at hanging rock winery - Sculpture Exhibition & trail
Art in the Vines Sculpture Exhibition & Trail, is the first of its kind to be held in the Macedon Ranges.
Visit our winery from 10th November 2018 to 31st March 2019, and wander through a trail of discovery, exploring 25 hand-crafted works of art.
Leading local, national and international sculptors have signed up to participate, some of whom have their pieces exhibited at the likes of The Met Museum in New York, The National Gallery of Australia, The National Gallery of Victoria, Parliament House and many other prominent spaces around Australia and the world.
Commencing at the cellar door, start your experience by tasting some of our award-winning wine. Grab yourself a bottle or two along with a trail map then head off exploring, glass in hand! It’s the perfect way to wile away a morning or afternoon.
Varying in scale, material and story, a majority of the sculptures have been created in artist studios dotted throughout our region or hand-crafted onsite by our artist-in-residence.
And this is where Art in the Vines sets itself apart, because we’ve engaged Austrian sculptor Andreas Buisman (Austria) to physically create his sculptures at the winery.
A series of workshops will also form part of the Art in the Vines program - please see Events & Workshops for more information.
With the backdrop of our vineyard, Hanging Rock and Mount Macedon providing a spectacular setting, this is an unparalleled exhibition and winery experience.
Entry to the exhibition is free and we’re open 7 days a week (except Christmas day) from 10am to 5pm.
