Anne Anderson is best known for her figurative sculptural works in bronze, ceramics and mixed media. Deeply inspired by music and the human form, she endeavours to explore the incidence of the human experience and the evidence of these shared emotions. Anne’s work has been widely exhibited, and her commissions and pieces can be found in private homes, corporate offices and public spaces across Australia and abroad. Anne recently travelled to Florence, Italy to deepen her sculptural skills, which brought new life and inspiration to her sculptural practice.
Exclusively created for the Art In The Vines 2021 exhibition, “She is how…” is an ode to the multi-faceted strengths and talents demonstrated by the modern women. No matter the age, ethnicity or cultural heritage, women across the world are the central force of life as we know it. This has only been further highlighted throughout the course of the recent Covid-19 pandemic, which has challenged women to maintain the equilibrium across all aspects of work, family life and self-care within the confinements of lockdown.
