Dawn Robinson
Dawn Robinson has been passionate about art from an early age, alumni of the School of Life. Her pieces communicate ideas of human nature, emotion, and the environment. Using an abstract expressionist style, art is an exploration. She creates sculptures and paintings.
Dawn allows her art to be her voice and encourages the viewer to question their own subjectivity and engage with the narrative of the work. What is it that we see? Is it colour, line, shape, or form? Is it stillness, movement, solidity, emptiness, positive or negative space?
Dawn works in collaboration with Interior Designers, Industrial Designers, and various creatives. Commission work in small or large sculpture.Â
Dawn previously owned and curated the Bakery Lane Gallery in Woodend, showcasing her own art and supporting emerging and established artists in solo and collaborative exhibitions. The contemporary gallery promoted over 70 artists within three years. Bakery Lane Gallery was nominated for several business awards.
